Hi,

I've got a strange problem.

I've just recently upgraded from a much patched and mutated
3.x installation to 4.1.5, and I've got a problem when users
try to have messages re-sent from the archives to themselves
through wwsympa.

If the currently logged-in user is the original sender of
the message or the list's owner the , the "send_me : action
succeeded" message displays and the message is sent and
lands in the user's mail box.

If not... nothing comes through.

I've increased the log level to almost painful levels,
and identified the following differences...

One that doesn't work:

wwsympa[26821]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged] [user
address@concealed] [list mv-test] do_send_me : list mv-test, yyyy , mm ,
msgid

wwsympa[26821]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged] [user
address@concealed] [list mv-test] send_me: looking for in
/address@concealed/-/arctxt

wwsympa[26821]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged] [user
address@concealed] [list mv-test] do_send_me : no file match msgid

And one that works:

wwsympa[21314]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged] [user
munged_listmaster@munged] [list somelist] do_send_me : list somelist, yyyy
2005, mm 02, msgid address@concealed

wwsympa[21314]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged] [user
munged_listmaster@munged] [list somelist] send_me: looking for
address@concealed in
/address@concealed/2005-02/arctxt

wwsympa[21314]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged [user
munged_listmaster@munged] [list somelist] send_me: scanning 11

wwsympa[21314]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged [user
munged_listmaster@munged] [list somelist] send_me: scanning 1

wwsympa[21314]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged [user
munged_listmaster@munged] [list somelist] send_me: scanning 2

wwsympa[21314]: [robot munged.vu.edu.au] [client 140.159.munged] [user
munged_listmaster@munged] [list somelist] do_send_me message
/address@concealed/2005-02/arctxt/2 spooled for
munged_listmaster@munged

So... do_send_me isn't getting the approriate paramaters to pass to
send_me... which in turn can't look for the message in the archive.
But I can't for the life of me figure out why. Is there some
authorisation issue I've missed?
Anyone seen anything like this before? Is there perhaps some
nasty incompatibility lurking in some of the templates and
scenarii imported from the previous version? I do have a slightly
non-standard codebase... but I can't see anywhere in my local
modifications that might affect this. I'll run up a stock install
on another test box this afternoon, though.

Any thoughts?

Mark.
