The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

I cannot post to my sympa (3.4.4.3) lists:

sympa[4753]: Cannot open message file 
/address@concealed: 
Permission denied 
sympa[4753]: Unable to create Message object 
/address@concealed
sympa[4753]: Moving bad file 
address@concealed to bad/

The problem is most likely related to the fact that I have made
bin/queue and bin/bouncequeue setgid:

gaia:/usr/lib/sympa/bin# ls -l {,bounce}queue
-rwxr-sr-x    1 sympa    sympa        5592 2003-09-12 01:19 bouncequeue
-rwxr-sr-x    1 sympa    sympa        5912 2003-09-12 01:19 queue

Even the the spool directory is just fine:

gaia:/var/spool/sympa# ls -ld . queue
drwxrwx--x   13 sympa    sympa        4096 2003-10-01 17:59 .
drwxrwx--x    3 sympa    sympa        4096 2003-10-03 12:23 queue

the queue files sympa creates have the wrong permissions:

gaia:/var/spool/sympa/queue# ls -l *
-rw-------    1 nobody   sympa [...] students@lis[...]5177621.18655

How can I control which permissions are used to create these files?

How do other people set permissions for the various sympa files in
/usr and /var?
