The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Hi!
Short question...
I need to put in som new subscribers to a list of mine.
If i'm using the web interface it tells me if i'm trying to add a
subscriber thats already there.
I'm missing that feature when i'm using the add command in a mail.

Is there a way of getting that to work with the add or subscribe command
to ?
