The above are because you either have an empty topics.conf or don't
have the file at all. (in ~<user>/etc)

This is, as it says, because you don't have permission to write in
the directory listed, or because the directory doesn't exist.

***  I don't know how it couldn't have permission... it is owned by
sympa.sympa, I tried it with 755 and with g+s...  on the whole spool
directory... still yields this result...  Could this be because wwsympa.fcgi
is running as another user, ie. messianicgroups?
