that doesn't matter as the Sympa dependencies should be the *minimum* version
which works
with Sympa.

We want to allow people to use Sympa even if they have outdated
installations. As we have no system
like Debian testing, new releases can be everything from not passing tests,
incompatible with other
modules or containing serious bugs.

The *minimum* version, so manually maintained.

IMHO not longer relevant and carton is a tool to ensure that the development
environment and
the production one share exactly the same CPAN version (amongst other things
of course).
