Hi sympa-users (CC'ed sympa-packagers),
Thanks using Sympa RHEL/CentOS RPMs by Sympa-JA.org.
But recent RPMs had some problems.
[Note] These problems are specific to RPMs provided by Sympa-JA.org
yum repository <http://Sympa-JA.org/download/rhel/>. They are not
caused by Sympa itself. Packages on the other repositories (Fedora,
Debian and so on) are not affected.
1. Package "sombok" cannot be updated
2. "List of lists" of Sympa Web interface disappears
1. Package "sombok" cannot be updated
-------------------------------------
If you had installed sombok from Sympa-JA.org, update by yum is
terminated with this message:
Failed to build transaction: Missing Dependency: sombok <= 2.99.99 is
needed by package perl-Unicode-LineBreak-2012.04-1.20120406.RHEL5.i386
(sympa-ja.org)
It is because that older releases of RPM had problem of version
numbering.
[How to solve]
Remove sombok pacakge then install current package again.
Run
# rpm --nodeps -ev sombok sombok-devel
(or, if you had not installed sombok-devel package, do)
# rpm --nodeps -ev sombok
then,
# yum install sombok
2. "List of lists" of Sympa Web interface disappears
----------------------------------------------------
It is because that RPM packager (me!) included a patch without
enough review.
[How to solve]
Recent RPM will solve this problem. You can simply run
# yum update sympa
Sorry for inconvenience.
Regards,
