Dear Sympa packagers,
We were recently contacted by the Debian packagers who needed to get
informations regarding the 6.1 planned releases in ordr to know
which version the would be able to use once the unstable version of
Debian switches to stable in june.
We think that these kind of informations could be of interest for
all of you, so here is our planned roadmap for Sympa releases:
Sympa 6.1 :
- We release 6.1.10 this week with a lot of improvments, notably
the riseup patch and several patches recently submitted. this
release will also include an automatic upgrade operation
required to use the riseup patch.
- We will release a 6.1.11 with a new feature - the we had to
develop in the stable branch, due to operational constraints -
regarding automatic lists creation. This release will also
contain all the patches submitted in the meantime. we have no
fixed date for thie release, but June is a likely period.
- Afterwards, we don't plan any more release for the 6.1 branch,
except if we were reported a high severity bug.
Sympa 6.2 :
- We want the 6.2 to go beta in a month or so. We still have a
critical upgrade process to correctly describe in order to be
able to release a beta.
- We plan the 6.2 to be stable this summer. This should let time
to admins to install it over the summer.
I hope these informations were helpfull.
Best regards,
David Verdin
