Still working on this AWS DNS issue. Approaching it from another angle:
I know that in sympa.conf/robot.conf the “domain” parameter is the mail domain, i.e., the @ address used by all list posts, so domain = lists.my.edu means all lists have the address address@concealed.
The wwsympa_url is the http address of the Sympa web interface – currently we have this set as https://lists.my.edu/lists
Question: if we changed the http address to a different DNS address like https://web.lists.my.edu/lists would all of the domain name variables in the tt2 pages still be displayed
as @lists.my.edu and the URL links to other help pages correctly redirect to web.lists.my.edu? I’m wondering how something like
[%|helploc(domain)%]<a href=""https://%1/lists/help/admin-createlist.html#block">
would resolve the %1 variable – where does it get the value of “domain”?
Thanks
Betty
