the socket is not up:

ls -la /run/sympa/

srw-------  1 www-data www-data   0 28. Jul 13:49 wwsympa.socket

= that´s on one of our systems, your socket could run under another place; 
Sympa / Apache expects it under:

> to connect to Unix domain socket /usr/local/var/run/sympa/wwsympa.socket 
> (*:80) failed
>
