Hello,

The sympa-archive.service has failed.

In the logs we are seeing this:

  DIED: Can't locate Encode/ISO2022JP2.pm

We are on sympa 6.2.60 on CentOS 7 VM.

Are we missing an encoder module?

How did you install Sympa?

What is the version of MIME::Charset module?  If it is earlier than version 1.011.3, how about upgrading it to recent version?

Hi Soji,

I just ran into exactly the same issue while migrating a mailing list that belongs to our Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies.

One specific message had:

Content-Type: text/plain;
charset=iso-2022-jp-2

That was the only message using that charset out of 8109 in the archive, so fortunately not common. I was able to rebuild the archive after deleting this single message from the arctxt directory for the list.

We are using RHEL 7, which ships with:

perl-MIME-Charset-1.011.1-1.el7.noarch

Is any workaround possible, or do I have to install my own module
from https://metacpan.org/pod/MIME::Charset? It looks like the upstream code (that you maintain!) has reached version 1.012.2 since March.

Thanks,
