The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

I've managed to install Sympa on a FreeBSD box, and it appears to be working.
I've created a list, added subscribers.

Sympa 6.2.54, FreeBSD 11.3.

What I don't see in the documentation is any guide as to what sendmail
aliases need to be generated for a list, and if they're supposed to
be automatically added to aliases.sympa.sendmail or if I'm supposed
to do this manually.
