Hi David,

Thanks for quick answer

Language were declared in sympa.conf

After restarting services: nothing special in log

After uncommenting language declaration its now in German (default language of system)

I just have only one main problem: I have dockerized mailcow running on my server and dont know how to tell mailcow to deliver mails - I use subdomains for sympa (lists.domain.tld) to local mta. Has anyone experience with integration of mailcow with a dockerized mailsever based on postifix?

Martin

Hi Martin,

All languages are installed with the Sympa sources. They are installed on your system's locale hierarchy when running make install.

To make them available, you need to declare them in the "supported_lang" sympa.conf parameter.

Example:

supported_lang ca,cs,de,el,en-US,es,et,eu,fi,fr,gl,hu,it,ja,ko,nb,nl,oc,pl,pt-BR,ru,sv,tr,vi,zh-CN,zh-TW

In theory, they are all enabled by default.

To make German the default lang, you need to set the "lang" sympa.conf parameter.

Example:

lang de

Afterwards, you need to restart all Sympa processes.

service sympa restart; service wwsympa restart; service sympasoap restart.

If your languages are still not available after that (for example in your user preferences : https://your.domain.tld/sympa/pref) then there is an installation problem and it would be useful to have a look at your logs to understand the problem.

Regards,

David

Hi everyone,

I am just new with sympa. It took a lot of time to install it (because of some minor misunderstanding and short documentation)

I want to use sympa for some non profit projects (ngo's). I am not a programmer, more a content developer/editor.

I run an own root server with debian 10. debian package description was not really usefull and it didnt work for me (and not many update there). So I have installed sympa from source.

Webinterface is now running. If I add more languages in sympa.conf (need German as default language) the languages are not available on wwsympa.

I could not locate any installed language file that are part of the source code.

So have i put them manually to my intstallation (into which folder?) or have there something missing when I installed sympa?

Didǹt find any information on web.
