I would like to install Sympy from a package like the .deb package. However the .deb package is only version 6.2.24 and I would like to install a new version. How do I find out what versions of Sympa are available in package form. I am willing to use almost any linux OS.

There are details about the package versions available in the community documentation:
https://sympa-community.github.io/manual/install/install-sympa-distribution-rpm.html

The 6.3 branch packages are available for Redhat/Centos in the EPEL repository (yum install epel-release)
