Hi Marco,

many thanks for your answer that pointed me in the right direction (and also to Paul Kissmann for the tip with the file permissions, although that were not the problem - but it's good to know for the next time). I've checked my wwsympa.conf, and it turned out that FCGI was somehow disabled (use_fast_cgi 1) which seems to be the default, but I'm quite sure that I've enabled it after installation.

So, it seems that the update really changed this setting, and after re-enabling it, the GUI is accessible again.

apt-get dist-upgrade as I did several times before, but this time, the
web interface is no longer accessible after the update.
You have modified by hand /etc/sympa/sympa.conf and/or wwsympa.conf?

Probably debconf 'wipe' your mods, it is a common trouble in jessie...
