Hi David,

It's true that that you can do it by assuming a user's identity, but that usually requires that the user confirm the change via an email they receive. Before we could make the change immediately. Though doing it through the CLI is a fine workaround.

Hi,
I didn't know such feature existed.
However you can still do it by endorsing this user's identity and change her email adress.
But, then again, the user can do it herself...
If I had only one advice to give to listmasters is: make other people do the stuff. Sympa is especially aimed at this.

We also noticed this feature has been removed from the web interface. It is possible to use the Sympa CLI to do this, but obviously requires that your administrators have SSH access to the server. Example usage:

$ su - sympa
$ sympa.pl --change_user_email --address@concealed --address@concealed

There used to be a feature in the sympa list master admin that allowed us to update a user's email address for all list memberships at once. That feature is gone in 6.2.16. Any idea why and can bring it back. It was very useful for us.
