Hi Dick,

On Ubuntu or debian it's possible to use service command for managing the deamons:

     service apache2 restart

But, with wwsympa.fcgi you need use stop and start instead of restart for the fcgi script stop correctly.

And, if apache2 run with www-data user, it's necessary to change for sympa user, otherwise apache2 can't stop wwsympa.fcgi script.

For change user on apache2, you need modify /etc/apache2/envvars and change user and group on filesystem.

Regards.
