My bad: stats don't exist on the 6.1 yet. only on the next version of Sympa currently under development. I'm sorry for giving you false hope...
Well, at least you know you will have these stats at some point in the future.
However, for now, there is no simple way to have thses stats, safe for exploiting the "stat" file (https://www.sympa.org/manual/list-definition#stats_file).

If you keep track of the previous value of the first number of this file, you can have regular data about the sent messages in a list.

These are the tables I have: admin_table, bulkmailer_table, bulkspool_table, conf_table, exclusion_table, list_table, logs_table, netidmap_table, one_time_ticket_table, session_table, subscriber_table, user_table.

If you use Sympa 6.1x, you can maybe use a perl script, called by crontab, that would exploit data found in stat_counter_table; It contains raw data (one hour granularity) regarding mail sending, subscription, signoff and such.

We use our MTA (Exim in our case) stats reporting. This works for us as we have a standalone Sympa installation that gets list email from our central mailhubs. Your set up may be different. Hope that helps.

At UC Irvine we have automated the updating of student email lists based on Schools, Majors and grade levels, using perl scripts to access and update the student and Sympa list databases. In order to monitor and track usage, we would like to have statistics automatically sent to our 'stats' email list. Is there an automated way to report Sympa statistics, such as number of emails sent per week, number of recipients, etc?
