The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Using Sympa 6.1.7 I and want to use the include_file feature to 
populate a list with subscribers.

I made the "data sources setup" using the web interface. The file given 
at include_file exists, is readable, and has the correct format.
Hitting [Update] on the "data sources setup" tab Sympa tells me "The 
list of list members have been built/updated. Configuration file has 
been updated".
Switching to [Manage subscribers] I get "ERROR (review) - List has no 
subscribers".
There are no log entries showing any problem. The corresponding config 
file has the include_file entry which I entered in the web interface.

Are there any other configuration details which may prevent the 
inclusion of subscribers with the include_file feature?
Any other hints?
