there are scripts available online to convert from MailDir to mbox; I'd suggest you
do that first and use the mbox importer.

if you do write a script, you'll just have to sort the messages in a structure like this:

YYYY-MM/arctxt/1
YYYY-MM/arctxt/2
YYYY-MM/arctxt/3

...etc. No leading 0 on the message numbers.

Once the messages are in those directories, tell sympa to rebuild the archives for the list.

I am going to import message archive form MailDir. In the list of migration
scripts http://www.sympa.org/contribs/migration_and_archives/index there is no
script for MailDir (only for mailbox which is not suitable for MailDirs). Did
I missed some obvious way to import messages from MailDir, so no specific
script is needed, or such script is really needed and missing?
