Hi Omen,

In such circumstance, Sympa should provide a proper error message in the 
logs. I guess there is some error management code :-\

Could you please increase your log_level parameter, so we get more 
information on the subroutines Sympa goes through?
Does the single list member have a specific subscription option like 
digest, nomail?
