The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Hi,

It seems that there is no welcome message sent to addresses that are 
subscribed to lists via external data sources (in sympa 5.3.4). Is that by 
design? Why not diff the previous subscriber list to the new one after an 
update and send the welcome message to the new subscribers?
