You'd need to move at least:
- your database,
- /home/sympa (or whatever path contains the sympa data),
- per-list config directories in /home/sympa/expl or
/home/sympa/list_data
- per-list archive directories in /home/sympa/arc
- the 5.3.4 software itself if you want to test everything on the new host
- config files, /etc/sympa.conf & /etc/wwsympa.conf, plus contents of
/etc/sympa/
(scenario files)

i'm sure i'm missing something but that's a start.

I'm doing something similar, and i went about it slightly differently.

I set up a fresh sympa 6, and I am importing the existing lists into it.

I wrote a script that uses sympa's command line features to create the list
(using a gross hack on the standard list creation feature), and load the
subscriber list. Next, the script goes over the old sympa host's db to
pick up subscriber options, and replicates them in the new list.
Finally, when the entire migration is done, and lists that use the include
feature are repopulated, I replicate the subscriber options for those lists.

I copied the user login data into the new database by hand; if you are using
the same db engine it should be simple, but make sure you check the old
schema vs the new schema.

My script is somewhat convoluted so i'm not going to post it to the list but
if you want a copy mail me privately.

thanks
