Hi David,

I am not very sure how you upload the file to the list. I just upload again with 11mb file and it is successfully.

What I did it  just cleaned out shared documents folder and upload a new file.
Hope this can help.

Thank you. Sincerely, Wen Si

Hi guys,

On the matter of desabling the shared document AND not letting list owner activate it, you can just prevent the edition of the web_archive parameter by adding the following lines to the edit_list.conf (https://www.sympa.org/manual/list-creation#list_editing):

  	web_archive 	owner,privileged_owner 		hidden
web_archive listmaster write

About the quotas thing, I'm confused, because I just tried to upload a big file to the list Wen Created and it was refused by the server for size quota exceeded reasons.
That needs deeper researches, then..

Cheers,

David

Hi David,

I also noticed that quotas weren't being respected (in 6.0).

In our environment we need to prevent the list owners from being able to create the Shared Documents area (we have other tools for this function).  Since I was having difficulty accomplishing that, I thought a temporary solution would be to set the quotas to zero.  Unfortunately, that did nothing.

I have since, managed to disable the Shared Documents area via customization of templates and by commenting out some code in the admin.pm file (since I couldn't get it to work properly by manipulating the config files).

Commented out (twice) from admin.pm:

## Create shared if required

if (defined $list->{'admin'}{'shared_doc'}) {

 $list->create_shared();

}

Hi Wen,

I can't reproduce your problem with our install.
What are the logs when you upload the file?

Could you show us the config file excerpt showing the shared_doc parameter ?

regards,

David

Hi,

I have set up max shared documents size to 10MB. But when I upload my first file of the mailing list, 200MB file can be uploaded.

Can anyone help to fix this problem?

Thank you. Sincerely, Wen Si
