Hi,

I have been configuring sympa 5.3 to use external data sources to obtain both
subscriber and list moderator/owner information.

This has been successful and a query has arisen that it would be nice to have
some official sympa clarification on. All the data regarding subscribers etc
appears to be held locally by sympa in its own tables (list_admin &
list_subscriber) and this gets updated via the external datasources when
task_manager executes its task. (or alternatively via the web interface).

If for some reason the connection to the external data source is lost am I
correct in assuming that sympas local storage of subscribers, moderators etc
stays unmodified until such time that the connection/retrieval of external
data
is restored?

I've proved this is the case on our local test installation I just wanted to
make sure I have understood the behaviour correctly.

kind regards

Catherine
