Hi,

I did what the page says. I listed so,

- In sudoers file, I added apache ALL = (sympa)  NOPASSWD: /home/sympa/bin/wwsympa.fcgi
- I set the owner of all files as sympa
- I added to apache.conf, ScriptAlias /sympa /home/sympa/bin/wwsympa-wrapper.fcgi

Sympa is integrated with CAS. Is it possible because of CAS?

What should I do more?

It is a rights problem. wwsympa must be executed as the sympa user.
What we recommend now is using the wrapper provided with the distribution instead of wwsympa.fcgi.
What you must do: in you web server config, call wwsympa-wrapper.fcgi to launch the wwsympa script.
All the explanations are detailed here:

address@concealed">Hi,

I have been using sympa with CAS authentication for a while. I have upgraded sympa from 5.3.4 to 5.4.2. After upgrading, message shows  "The mailing list server is in maintenance mode, no operation can be performed during this period.", and the part of sympa log shows below;

Apr 29 11:38:49 smtp wwsympa[15444]: WWSympa started
Apr 29 11:38:49 smtp wwsympa[15444]: [robot ] [client xx.sabanciuniv.edu] Config error: wwsympa should run with UID 1002 (instead of 0). *** Switching to maintenance mode. ***
Apr 29 11:38:49 smtp wwsympa[15444]: CAS ticket is detected. in{'ticket'}=ST-83746-J1KKudLoOddzyYoMhocQQPitW5bcFeBQbmV-20 in{'checked_cas'}=0

It switches to maintenance mode.

What changes should be made to resolve this problem?

Thanks,
