We have a test and a production Sympa servers. I want to easily move code
and configuration changes from the test environment to the production
environment. I was thinking about using subversion, but it seems to cause
some issues where Sympa scans folders and picks up on the .svn folders.

Has any one used Subversion in this way?

Which folders should I avoid using subversion on?

/usr/lib/sympa/bin
/var/sympa/bin/etc/create_list_templates
/var/sympa/bin/etc/custom_conditions
/var/sympa/bin/etc/families
/var/sympa/bin/etc/global_task_models
/var/sympa/bin/etc/list_task_models
/var/sympa/bin/etc/mail_tt2
/var/sympa/bin/etc/scenari
/var/sympa/bin/etc/web_tt2
/var/sympa/bin
/var/sympa/sbin

I installed from the source and tried to mirror the RPM install folder
locations.
