Janusz,

You might be able to change the display of Sympa web archives, by editing the MHonarc resource file used by Sympa : |mhonarc-ressources.tt2

You'll first need to get familiar with the mhonarc resources, see http://www.mhonarc.org/MHonArc/doc/mhonarc.html.
Then you can write a custom ||mhonarc-ressources.tt2 ; it will only apply on newly archived messages, unless you rebuild the web archives.

Note that 1) ||mhonarc-ressources.tt2 outputs TT2 content, because it is then parsed by wwsympa.fcgi 2) the TT2 output uses specific TT2 tag '($tag$%' and $tag$) for security reasons.

Check https://www.sympa.org/wiki/manual/web-archives for more informations on Sympa archiving system.

I would like to display sympa archives in a way similar to

http://www.mhonarc.org/archive/html/xsl-list/2007-08/msg00530.html
http://address@concealed/msg18331.html

I mean displaying the whole thread with the current message
highlighted with color, and perhaps also (as in the first example)
additionally with an arrow.

Both example come from the MHonArc examples list

http://www.mhonarc.org/#examples

I am quite new to sympa which I have just installed on stable Debian
(version 5.2.3 from the official Debian package, I will try unstable
version later). I would appreciate very much advice.

Best regards

Janusz
