Hi Peter,

You should be able to use the 'db_options' sympa.conf parameter to specify the 'mysql_socket' argument, as follows :
db_options  mysql_socket=tmp/mysql.sock-test
For more informations :

Let us know if it works...

I'm trying to integrate sympa into my clients web site portals and content management systems (on Mac OSX platforms initially) - its replacing my own perl based mailinglist software. So far not too many issues to resolve . One thing i havent been able to resolve via the documentation however, is to access the subscription database via a local unix socket path name other than the default one ( e.g. /tmp/mysql.sock-test instead of /tmp/mysql.sock for mysql) . At the moment I dont want to use the TCP port connectivity. There doesn't seem to be a way to specify an alternate db socket path even though theres a way to use an alternate TCP port (db_port option) .

Can anyone suggest a way do this at a configuration file level ?
