Hi, now I have to add an antivirus to scan the attachment of my lists. I want toBasically, sympa-documentation has a paragraph about it, which can be found at http://www.sympa.org/doc/html/node7.html#Antivirus_plug-in and http://www.sympa.org/doc/html/node22.html
try TrendMicro. Someone can help me, tell me how I have to configure and what
arguments I have to give at sympa.conf.
However, personally I consider AV-scanning to be the job of the MTA which is run before sympa. It is more efficient to get rid of malware ASAP and most important, you can reject malware during the SMTP-transaction instead of accepting it and worring what to do about it... contacting the (probably forged) sender? Contacting the recipient? Putting it in a quarantine-area for manual review?
PS: when doing a search for "virus" at the sympa-Homepage, I get several results, which are totally worthless... I suppose htdig hasn't done a refresh for month? Or years?
