If anybody out there has a Sympa installation with about 1-2K
worth of lists, I'd be curious, in round numbers, how much
disk space you're using for the entire Sympa installation,
both software and data.

Also any recommendations about partitioning Sympa files
would be of interest. For example, since archives can
take up a *lot* of space, depending upon the needs and
policies of the site, it would seem dedicating a partition
just to archives would make a lot of sense.

We have 2167 lists. We don't turn on web archives by default, so not all lists are generating those, but it looks like 1412 of our lists have them. We have a default_archive_quota of 200MB, but many lists were established before that quota was set (and before I took over the service) or manually adjusted, so some individual lists may have higher or lower quotas for web archives.

Sympa's directory (includes all Sympa software, configs, and data as well as 8 weeks of logs for Sympa and postfix) is currently at 14GB and it's database (MySQL) is at 59MB.

We have everything in one huge partition, but the machine was built using our standard Solaris JumpStart image, so we didn't have a lot of flexibility there. Hope that helps.

I didn't "switch" to Apple... my OS did.
