Hi,
FastCGI should be considered as a prerequisite because it allows wwsympa to run in a way similar to a Java servlet ; ie it's running as a daemon with all its context loaded and wait for incoming requests : it's a very efficient architecture !
We just currently miss a RPM for mod_fastcgi but Jeff Abbott from Duke university has recently been working on such a RPM. He might consider providing this RPM on the Internet2 web site...

Recently I just installed Sympa on CentOS 4 sucessfully after a number of failure attempts. The problem I experienced before is CPAN can not install all Perl modules sucessfully.

I did not install fastcgi and only use wwsympa.fcgi as normail CGI, the performance is poor, is there any other way to improve rather than use fastcgi?
