No expire task is a task to remove subscribers that never use the list 
nor confirm they want to subscribe. Expire is probably too complex and 
buggy. better not to use it now.

There is no processus for automatic deletion of unused lists but the web 
page get_inactive_lists from sympa admin module can help you.
