Hi there,

I'm a refugee from mailman. I just got so tired of dealing with its needless complexity and terrible web interface etc etc. Plus I could never get virtual hosts to work properly in mailman ... I had to hack it to get RSS feeds ... and it seems to no longer be under active development.

So I decided to try sympa and I like it! I used the sympa package on debian... it was almost, but not quite perfect install. These instructions helped me a lot:
http://deb.riseup.net/lists/sympa-server/
http://www.open-organizations.org/view/Socialtools/StandardSympa

And I was able to get multiple virtual robots going without trouble, set up lists, making everything work with postfix, etc. Then I went to the web interface and (groan) noticed that it was all nested tables ... so 90s ... so I went online to look for a complete template replacement and discovered you have already make a complete rewrite of the interface for 5.1! And it's beautiful CSS! Also sympa 5.1 is that it looks more and more like have the good BB features. Being able to view a whole thread at once (full text) would be nice. But at least I can reply and post messages online. And of course it has RSS, and a single user login for many lists.

I really want to upgrade to Sympa 5.1 but I prefer to use debian packages. When will it be available for debian?
