Hello,
I am evaluating Sympa for as a migration path away from Majordomo -- we've had our Majordomo installation running here for somewhere between 10 and 15 years -- and one of the things that has confused me about Sympa is its aliases for a list, namely listname-owner and listname-request. From Majordomo, I and our users are both accustomed to listname-owner going to the owner(s) of a list.
Why does Sympa use listname-request for this purpose, and when exactly is listname-owner used? And finally, is there a way that I might be able to switch the two? Is it as simple as pointing listname-owner at "|/etc/smrsh/queue address@concealed" rather than having it pipe to bouncequeue? We're going to be migrating lists from Majordomo and it would be highly confusing to users if all of a sudden the listname-owner address no longer contacted the list's owner.
Thanks,
Jeff
