I'm in the early stages of migrating a mail server from a old Linux install
to
a much newer, and in the process am upgrading the Sympa and Mysql to newer
versions. I *think* I'm running 3.4.4, the new system (a recent Mandriva
2005) has a 'native' Sympa 4.1.2. I am running Mysql 4.0.11
Questions:
Should I make the effort to reinstall a more recent version of Sympa than
4.1.2? Is there a document that compares versions and configuration options,
this to make the migration easier?
The new system also has Mysql 4.1.11 with 5.0 available, which would you
choose to upgrade from the existing 4.0.11? Is it at all possible to simply
migrate the db files across instead of exporting and importing the data?
