Same problem on FreeBSD, but I don't think the solution is the same, and
I can't quite figure it out. Probably similar to the symlink fix to do
what locale.aliases does on Linux, but I'm not sure of the details. It
doesn't seem to break anything, but it is annoying -- any help?
