Hi,
some notes on your problems and more observations:
| 1) I can log in using LDAP authentication, but only when uid is
| provided. If an e-mail address is given the authentication fails. I was
| under the impression that it should work both ways.
I can login using both the uid and the e-mail address.
| 2) include_ldap_query can apparently extract only one attribute (the
| e-mail address). Therefore, when I check the list of subscribers I can
| see only the e-mail addresses, but no names (no cn, no uid)!
Yes, it would be nice if the name could be included.
| 3) The e-mails which were sent to the group and are stored in the
| archive, are not identified by the e-mail addresses of the senders, nor
| by their names extracted from LDAP directory (cn), but just by uid taken
| from the e-mail addresses (the part of an e-mail address in front of @
| character).
Hm, not sure if I understand this correctly:
If I log in eg. as mred and send an e-mail as
address@concealed (from my normal mail client or using the
"send" dialog of wwsympa?), the "From" line in the archived E-Mails says
it is from michael.redinger (or mred?)?
If yes, this does not happen here. It keeps the "From" line my mail
client uses.
I found some more issues:
I used the following regexp/negative_regexp expression sothat both local
users (using LDAP authentication) and "remote" users (using sympa
passwords) could log in:
ldap
regexp uibk\.ac\.at
user_table
~ negative_regexp uibk\.ac\.at
~ regexp .*
If I use the auth.conf file as described (including the regexp and
negative_regexp), select "send me a password" and enter my e-mail
address (address@concealed), sympa sends me a password (but I
cannot use that password as sympa only tries LDAP authentication).
I have also provided a authentication_info_url line in the configuration
~ and thought that I should not get a password then but should be sent to
that page instead.
Jul 2 16:00:54 sympa [local2.info] wwsympa[12583]: [robot uibk.ac.at]
[client 138.232.x.xxx] do_sendpasswd(address@concealed)
Jul 2 16:00:54 sympa [local2.notice] wwsympa[12583]: No entry in the
Ldap Directory Tree of ldap.uibk.ac.at for address@concealed
Another possible bug:
When I try to login (using my e-mail address or the uid) but enter a
wrong password, I am redirected to a page stating that the password is
wrong. When I now enter the correct password, login succeeds, but I also
get the message that I am already logged in. Same in the log file:
Jul 4 09:21:29 sympa [local2.info] wwsympa[13074]: [robot uibk.ac.at]
[client 138.232.x.xxx] [user address@concealed]
do_loginrequest: already logged in as address@concealed
Thanks,
Michael
