Hi Chris,

Because it uses a database for storing subscribers information and also thanks to the bult-in bulk emailer, Sympa can cope with big mailing lists and deliver messages very fast.

We are running a mailing lists with more than 20 000 subscribers ourselves. It takes us 25 minutes to distribute a message to the subscribers (this list is for a virtual organization, with subscribers email addresses in many different domains). We are using sendmail as the MTA and Mysql for the RDBMS.

We were reported usage for 50K, 100K, 500K and even 700K (I can't find the reference) subscibers in a single ML.

Just curious if anyone has been running any lists with memberships exceeding
30k users.

I'd be interested in hearing from anyone doing this, and what things, if any,
had to be done to make the list manager server behave well.
