The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Hi,

I've been trying to install Sympa for a while now and it won't work.

I followed the manual and at this point I'm getting stuck:

6.5.1:
cat /tmp/my_import_file | sympa.pl --import=my_list

I'm getting this error:

No web archives directory: /home/sympa/arc

No bounces directory: /home/sympa/bounce
DBI connect('dbname=sympa;host=172.17.5.15','sympa',...) failed: Can't 
connect to MySQL server on '172.17.5.15' (111) at /home/sympa/bin/List.pm 
line 1096
DBI connect('dbname=mysql;host=localhost','root',...) failed: Can't connect 
to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111) at 
/home/sympa/bin/List.pm line 7021
Cannot connect as root to database
postfix: invalid option -- o
postfix: fatal: usage: postfix [-c config_dir] [-v] command
Database sympa defined in sympa.conf has not the right structure or is 
unreachable. If you don't use any database, comment db_xxx parameters in 
sympa.conf


If I comment the db_xxx parameters like suggested in the last line I'm 
getting this message:

No web archives directory: /home/sympa/arc

No bounces directory: /home/sympa/bounce
No such list list
Unknown list name list


I can access http://172.17.5.15/wws, but I if I want a password to be send 
then I only get a mail with subject sympa_died and message: Unknown list name 
%s.

I don't know what to do anymore.

Can anyone help me?
