Funnily enough evolution 1.4 does this as well.

Although why is IE reading a mail message? Web based email? If wev based
the mailto: link is only going to open up the local mail client. Are you
sure they do not mean Outlook Express?

I believe the ?subject extension is a standard now, so Sympa is doing
the right thing(tm) in utilising it and it is more likely the email
client developers that should fix the problem at their end...hmm should
check the bug list for evolution myself. :)
