okay, I'd had an intensiv look at the mhonarc-documentation.
It seems, that adding something like
<MIMEExcs>
application
image
audio
video
</MIMEExcs>
to mhonarc-resources will exclude this types from being archived.
Where does sympa look for the list-specific mhonarc-resources?
~/expl/listname/mhonarc-resources ? (logical)
~/etc/mhonarc-resources (global-settings)
~/bin/etc/mhonarc-resources (global-setting-default)
