The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

If I want to use message numbering in Subject by 
adding [list->sequence] into that list's preferences under option Subject 
tagging (custom_subject), then message numbering works fine, but 
replying to that list message causes cumulative subject (which does not 
occur with usual Subject tagging without [list->sequence] ). Subject looks 
like:

Subject: [test: 3] Re: [test: 2] Re: [test: 1] testing a list

If many people reply to that message, the Subject grows and grows very 
long. I don't want it, but I still want to use message numbering.
Anyone can help?
