The mailing list for listmasters using Sympa

Hi guys,
can anybody tell me what a "links" program and a "ncftpget" program is?
While processing "make" (preparing the installation in linux) in order to 
install Sympa, I am told that they are not found. I don´t have any idea, what 
they are and where to get them. Thanks for your help,
