Running SYMPA Sympa 3.4.2 on a Solaris 8 box running MySQL.
Problem: A message didn't get sent out because SYMPA believed the subscribers to be 0.
This list utilizes "include2".
And from the logs on lists.gatech.edu:
Mar 14 15:46:43 news-ext.gatech.edu sendmail[20215]: [ID 801593 mail.info] h2EKkfxQ020214: to="|/services/lists/bin/queue address@concealed", ctladdr=<address@concealed> (1/0), delay=00:00:02, xdelay=00:00:01, mailer=prog, pri=32205, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent
From this we see that it was accepted and that SYMPA queued it up...now let's look at the SYMPA logs for that timeframe:
Mar 14 15:46:43 news-ext.gatech.edu sympa[16379]: Processing message for oit-list with priority 5, <address@concealed>\n
Mar 14 15:46:43 news-ext.gatech.edu sympa[16379]: No subscriber in list oit-list
Mar 14 15:46:43 news-ext.gatech.edu sympa[16379]: Message for oit-list from address@concealed accepted (0 seconds, 0 sessions), size=2238
HRM. This is not good :) That message wasn't delivered because SYMPA believed the list to have no subscribers...
From time to time I also have experienced from the web interface, subscribers not being shown. Could this be a server load issue that is affecting the query for subscribers?
I have seen the message "No subscriber in list" on a couple of other lists that I know have subscribers in them.
Any suggestions/tests/diagnosis that anyone thinks I can try?
