Hi Adam,
When closing a list from the web interface, the subscribers are saved in
a file : /home/sympa/expl/yourlist/subscribers.closed.dump
When restoring a list, wwsympa looks for this file to restore subscribers.
But Sympa version prior to 3.3.6b.2 have a bug with subscribers.closed.dump
writing. You should either update to a recent release (3.4.2) or apply the
following patch :
http://listes.cru.fr/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/sympa/wwsympa/wwsympa.fcgi.diff?r1=1.258&r2=1.259&f=u

Is it possible to retrieve the subscriber list from a list that
has been closed, and then restored? Restoring makes the list live
again, but the subscribers are still gone. Somewhere in the docs
I think there's a reference to a .dump file that stores them, but
if it exists, I can't find it....
