Also: there is a glitch in the conversion process. See in

That kind of glitch may appear elsewhere, I didn’t checked.

To detail a little bit what has been done, 2 plugins have been developed by Etienne (Méléard) (very quickly so thanks a lot to him) to retrieve and parser the github markdown.
He also just finished another one to get the releases page, and I just installed it. The sympa.org homepage is therefore up to date with regard to releases.
So these are "very young" plugins, and there are certainly still some bugs.
But I will try to do some documentation on what has been put in place.

Commonmark spec is useful as a reference:

GitHub flavoured MarkDown also refers to it (and extends it).

IMO conversion through DokuWiki is not so good idea.  I see, for example,

ambiguity on formatting paragraphs pointed out by Luc is caused by it.

Is it possible to replace Etienne’s plugin and dokuwiki engine with

such as (this is just an idea) commonmark formatter?
