I think Marc/eiro summed it up with the sentence: "die early". It allows 
failures to be found early, even in places developers did not expect.
As using it enforces usage of try/catch patterns at high level in the 
code, failures will always be caught.

Yes, I noticed in your earlier contributions.
Well, that's something you can bond with with Marc.
I'm not fan of it and I'm afraid a lot of people will have difficulties 
reading it.
But if a lot of contributors want to use it, I will adapt.
