I just had a pass over the whole perl code to fix indentation, spacing, 
and brace style. Using perltidy seem not necessary anymore for me.

I suggest we describe the current consensus as:
- 4-spaces indentation steps
- 78-chars lines width
- cuddled else style

Can we consider the discussion closed on this point ?
