For handling natural language messages, I noticed that Sympa uses
the Pure Perl gettext routines, yet the author of that module
recommends:
"Normally you should not use this module directly, but the
high level interface Locale::TextDomain(3) that provides a
much simpler interface."
Was there a deliberate decision to ignore this advise in
implementing Sympa? Or was it a matter of already being familiar
with GNU gettext and wanting to stay with that API?
