Hi Simon,

Adrien is working on a dedicated CVS branch (sympa-accessibility) :
 http://sourcesup.cru.fr/cgi/viewcvs.cgi/sympa/?_only_with_tag_=sympa-accessibility

Here is a list of what has been accomplished :
  • general CSS changes :
  • all style elements have been moved from the templates to the CSS
  • fixed misused HTML tags
  • lots of IE compatibility issues have been fixed
accessibility topic :
  • all font size are now expressed in em unit
  • ALT tags have been generalized
  • all titles now use Hx tags
  • added "headers" attributes to tables
  • added label and id tags to all forms
  • web pages have been validated against the W3C and WAI
Adrien is just finishing his work today, so I suggest you wait until he performs a "cvs commit" before testing his work.
You're more than welcome to do so and propose changes.
It won't be long before we merge this CVS branch with the main branch...

How do I access the side branch? I would like to review it if possible.

PS I'm a big CSS fan and I have done quite a lot of work in CSS.

I forgot to mention that the next Sympa release (probably 5.3) will include many changes in the CSS. Adrien Brard is currently working on gathering all style elements in the CSS and making the Sympa GUI accesible for disabled people. This work is not finished yet and is done in a side CVS branch.
